2025 All Systems Go: A Teaching and Learning Conference

Traditional models of Bloom's Taxonomy present learning as a hierarchical process, but what if we viewed it as circular - an ongoing, interconnected cycle of thinking and discovery? In this interactive seminar, we will explore an alternative approach to Bloom's framework, examining how knowledge acquisition, analysis, and creativity can work together dynamically, rather than as fixed steps.
Building on this discussion, the Gallery Walk strategy will be presented, which is a collaborative learning method that encourages students at almost any grade level to engage with content, share insights, and reflect on each other's viewpoints. Session participants will experience this strategy firsthand, and learn how it promotes deep understandings. . . with the added bonus of movement!
Attendees of this session will gain practical insights into how these two approaches can be integrated into classrooms to foster critical thinking, creativity, and continuous intellectual growth.

Participants will learn how to locate and use virtual manipulatives using Geogebra. A variety of methods will be demonstrated so that participants have choices depending o their resources and level of comfort using technology. The stratgey "Explain My Work" will be used to demonstrat a process for teaching students to engage appropriately in conversations of discourse.

This workshop provides educators with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to effectively integrate AI into their teaching practices. Participants will explore AI's potential to personalize learning, boost student engagement, and streamline administrative tasks. Key areas include:

In this engaging session, educators will explore simple, brain-based coping strategies that help students regulate emotions, stay focused, and build resilience. Learn how movement, mindfulness, sensory supports, and co-regulation can create a more self-regulated and successful classroom environment. Walk away with practical, easy-to-implement Tier 1 strategies that support all learners in thriving academically and emotionally.

Students with language disorders and specific learning disabilities often struggle with oral expression and auditory comprehension, impacting their ability to participate and succeed in the classroom.
